Tigers continue Zamora talks

Phil Brown says Hull City are continuing to haggle over personal terms in his bid to sign Fulham striker Bobby Zamora. The Tigers have had a £5million offer accepted for Zamora, who produced an influential display in Fulham's Europa League qualifying win over FK Vetra on Thursday night. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has stated that the 28-year-old is happy to stay at Craven Cottage, but Brown has refused to concede defeat in his transfer quest. He confirmed talks remain ongoing with Zamora's representatives and he is staying upbeat about his prospects of convincing the forward to move to the KC Stadium. "There's no progress on Bobby Zamora, but I'll reaffirm that the door is still open and I'll remain hopeful," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "We're haggling over the personal terms, but that's only normal." Important result Meanwhile, Zamora is not taking Fulham's progress to the next stage of the Europa League for granted after scoring one and being involved in the other two goals in the 3-0 first-leg win over Vetra. Zamora told Fulham's official website: "It was important for us to start with a win. "We had a few games in pre-season and looked good, so it was good for us to carry that into this game and get an important result. "It's really important for us. We're all loving playing in Europe as it's another achievement for us, so we're going to relish every minute of it. "Now we're just looking forward to the second leg next week. It'll be another tough workout for us and hopefully we'll come out of it with another win. "They were organised and they worked hard. They put the ball in the box and they'll give us another hard game back at the Cottage next week."
