Swansea v Fulham preview

Swansea will be looking to record back-to-back wins over Premier League opposition when Fulham travel to the Liberty Stadium in the FA Cup fifth round.[LNB] Swansea sprang one of the surprises of the fourth round by overcoming holders Portsmouth 2-0 at Fratton Park and will welcome Premier League opposition to the Liberty Stadium for the first time this weekend.[LNB]History is not on the Swans' side though. The only previous FA Cup meeting between the two ended in a 7-0 victory for the Cottagers back in 1995.[LNB]In those days, Fulham were the underdogs from the fourth tier, while Swansea suffered huge embarrassment as a third tier club.[LNB]However, a similar scoreline is unlikely this weekend, as the Championship high-fliers look to reach the last eight for only the second time in the post-war era.[LNB]Team newsSwansea defender Angel Rangel is set to return following a one-match ban that kept him out of league action last week.[LNB]Gorka Pintado misses out though, after undergoing an operation to solve a hernia problem that had been plaguing the striker.[LNB]And following Swansea's failure to sign Dimitrios Konstantopoulos before the end of the transfer window, 17-year-old goalkeeper David Cornell will take up a spot on the bench.[LNB]Fulham's Dickson Etuhu has escaped serious injury after twisting his ankle at Wigan, but is expected to be missing for the trip to Wales.[LNB]Roy Hodgson was dealt more injury worries when Aaron Hughes left the field during Northern Ireland's game against San Marino in midweek, but the defender should play some part after it was revealed that he had suffered a dead leg. [LNB]New loan-signing Olivier Dacourt may make his debut to fill the midfield void created by Etuhu's absence, but Giles Barnes is unlikely to be handed a start as Hodgson searches for continuity in his side.[LNB]
