Success for Fulham

11 July 2009 13:11
Fulham claimed their first victory on their pre-season tour of Australia as they beat Melbourne Victory 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium. The Cottagers, who suffered a 2-1 loss to Gold Coast United during the week, opened the scoring just after the half-hour when Andrew Johnson was brought down by goalkeeper Mitch Langerak, the striker slotting home the resulting penalty. Seol Ki-Hyeon saw his shot cleared off the line as the hour mark approached before Eddie Johnson (67) doubled Fulham`s advantage just moments after coming on as a substitute with a confident finish. Eric Nevland, another sub, added a third in the 72nd minute after good work from Seol. Fulham next face Perth Glory on Wednesday.
