Stockdale recall not on cards

Ipswich have not received any contact from Fulham regarding the possible recall of goalkeeper David Stockdale.[LNB] Stockdale joined Town in the summer on a season-long loan, although the agreement included a 24-hour recall clause.[LNB]And fears were raised of that being activated when it emerged Fulham number one Mark Schwarzer sustained a back problem which required lengthy treatment towards the conclusion of the club's goalless draw against West Brom at the weekend.[LNB]But Jewell hopes all will be okay, telling the club's official website on Monday morning: "We haven't heard anything from Fulham regarding David.[LNB]"Obviously when we heard Schwarzer had picked up a knock we were concerned but, as I said, Fulham haven't been in touch with me.[LNB]"We are at the mercy of them a little bit with the 24-hour recall clause and it's not ideal, but it was a chance we were willing to take to bring David here and hopefully the gamble will pay off."
