Slovenian starlet Jan Oblak has rejected the chance to join Fulham. The 16-year-old goalkeeper is rated as one of the finest prospects in Europe and travelled to England for a trial spell at Fulham earlier this summer. He recently became the youngest ever goalkeeper to play in the Slovenian top-flight when he made his first-team debut for Olimpija Ljubljana. Oblak made his debut at the weekend and took the man of the match award against Gorica. The youngster is now determined to continue his education in his homeland, after shunning Fulham - who were looking to snap him up. Director of football Simon Seslar confirmed that Oblak had pledged his future to Olimpija. "His only thoughts at this moment are with Olimpija," Seslar said. "Yes, he went to London and spent some time with Fulham and they were very satisfied with him, but he wants to play for Olimpija for now. "He even signed a new contract with us - it is until 2011."
