Skipper believes in Cottagers

Fulham captain Brede Hangeland is confident that his side can recover quickly from a heartbreaking 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool last weekend.

The Cottagers are still ninth in the Premier League table despite the loss, with Hangeland confident that the improvement in form since the arrival of manager Roy Hodgson will continue.

He told the club's official website: "We haven't set a specific target, but we'll try and get as many points as we can.

"If we do well we could have the best season Fulham has ever had in the Premier League and to do that would be fantastic.

"We just have to take it one game at a time and try and get as many points as we can.

"I think it's amazing how much we've developed over the last 12 to 14 months and all credit to the manager and his team for moving us in the right direction over the last year.

"We do as we're told and work as hard as we can as a group of players. I think they've done a brilliant job."
