Schwarzer - A satisfying term

Mark Schwarzer has told Sky Sports News of his delight at his first season at Fulham. The Australian goalkeeper left Middlesbrough for Craven Cottage last summer after 11 years on Teesside. Schwarzer, 36, enjoyed an excellent 2008/09 campaign as he helped the Cottagers secure a European berth. He told Sky Sports News: "It is probably one of the most enjoyable (seasons), the most satisfying overall. "When you have been at one club for such a long period of time you become part of the furniture. "It is nice to move on and prove yourself all over again. You can't take anything for granted whatsoever. "For me, it has been very rewarding and very refreshing to make the move. I am delighted with the way it has panned out."
