Sanchez slams ref Dean
26 Nov 2007 - 09:08:22
Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez once again felt compelled to criticise the referee after his side's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers twice led only to let the visitors back into the encounter but Sanchez once again blamed the officials rather than his players for their failure to hang on to the three points.
"My weekly letter will go off to (referees' chief) Keith (Hackett) tomorrow morning," he said.
"It must get embarrassing showing the mistakes they're making. My DVD collection is 15 minutes long itself and that's 14 games into the season."
Mike Dean did give Fulham a penalty when Ryan Nelsen felled Diomansy Kamara, and Sanchez thought that was one decision the referee got right.
"The penalty was bang to rights. Nelsen whacked him up in the air," added the former Northern Ireland boss.
"But we should have had two more penalties and their first goal was offside. It was a usual day at the Cottage."
