Redknapp rates Zamora highly
24 Mar 2010 - 09:07:05
Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has heaped praise on Fulham striker Bobby Zamora ahead of an FA Cup sixth round replay at White Hart Lane.
The 29-year-old struggled to make his mark during a short spell with Spurs earlier on in his career, but has emerged as a major force with the Cottagers, having scored 16 goals this season.
Redknapp said: "He is a really good player. West Ham probably regret letting him go, Tottenham probably regret letting him go. He is really looking the part.
"He shows well, holds the ball well and is full of confidence. He is looking a real top player. His all around game has improved and everything has been clicking for him.
"I think he has a realistic shout (of playing for England).
"Fabio Capello was at the Juventus game and he must have been impressed with his performance. He is in the frame. He is bang in form.
"Anything can happen between now and then. One or two injuries and he is certainly not doing himself any harm."
