Ray Lewington has been named caretaker boss at Fulham. Roy Hodgson was confirmed as Liverpool's new boss on a three-year contract this morning after his impressive spell at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers are now on the look-out for a replacement and have turned to Lewington to steady the ship until Hodgson's successor is found. A club statement read: "Fulham confirm that at 9.20am this morning, Roy Hodgson resigned from his position of first-team manager, effective immediately. The club would like to wish Roy the very best for the future and thanks him for all that was achieved during his tenure. Ray Lewington will take temporary charge of team matters until a successor is announced in due course."
