Stoke manager Tony Pulis has urged the club's fans to show their support for Richard Cresswell after he was jeered at Fulham on Saturday.Cresswell played a crucial role in Stoke's promotion campaign, scoring 12 goals, and he has been an important part of the squad again this season. However the former Leeds forward received ironic cheers when he was substituted in the second half in the 1-0 defeat by Fulham, despite putting in a decent performance behind Ricardo Fuller.Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "It is disappointing. You do not want to hear that - certainly not at the moment when our supporters are getting so many plaudits."I thought Richard did well, he worked hard. He puts in a shift all the time and is an honest kid."He came on a free transfer and has been a great signing."He helped us get promoted and fingers crossed he will help get us established in the Premier League."For that people should respect him and get behind him."[LNB]
