Prem pair battling for Fortune

Fulham and Wolves are reported to be battling it out for the signature of striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, who impressed during a loan spell with West Bromwich Albion.

The 27-year-old scored five times in 18 appearances for the Baggies after joining from Nancy, but was unable to help Albion beat off the threat of relegation.

Fortune's agent, Michael Manuello, told the Express & Star: "To my mind, he is going to sign with either Wolverhampton or Fulham, even though surprises can always happen.

"Wolves and Fulham have expressed their interest in Marc's services, but I can't tell you when a deal will be done.

"For sure, he wants to stay in the Premier League and he has proved that he has the talent to impose himself in this competition.

"It's easier to know how things will happen in France, whereas it's slightly more complicated in England."
