Player Details

Aaron Hughes is a centre back who signed for Fulham in July 2007, linking up with his former Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez at Craven Cottage. Aaron is a calm and composed defender who reads the game well and shows a real commitment to the cause, always prepared to throw himself in to block goal-bound shots with his body or make vital tackles and interceptions. He was ever-present in all competitive matches for the Whites in 2010-11, continuing to form an effective partnership in the heart of the defence alongside Brede Hangeland. Aaron came up through the ranks at Newcastle United, and went on to play over 200 Premier League games during his stay on Tyneside. He then spent two seasons with Aston Villa before his move south. Aaron is currently the captain of the Northern Ireland team and has won over 70 caps for his country.
