TOTTENHAM are the favourites to sign wantaway Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch, according to reports.[LNB]Crouch has been linked with a move to Sunderland and Fulham but it now seems he will sign for Spurs, after the north Londoners matched Pompey?s £12m valuation of the England striker. [LNB]On Tuesday, Sunderland boss Steve Bruce conceded defeat in his pursuit of the sought-after forward, withdrawing the Black Cats' offer.[LNB] Crouch flew into the North-East for talks with Bruce last Friday, but the former Wigan manager was unable to convince him to sign.[LNB]?Naturally this is hugely disappointing for us as Peter was one of our primary targets," Bruce said. [LNB]"I know he was impressed with the set-up here when he came for talks, but it's simply a matter of geographical location and that's not something we can affect.?[LNB]Crouch is expected to hold talks with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp on Wednesday, with the move likely to be completed within 24 hours.[LNB]And although Fulham have not given up hope of signing the lanky forward, Crouch?s desire to join Spurs makes them huge outsiders.[LNB]Is £12m a good deal for Crouch? Let us know what you think...[LNB]
