John Pantsil is looking forward to European action with Fulham and the World Cup finals with Ghana. The Cottagers are set to begin their Europa League campaign in earnest this week when the group stages get underway on Thursday. Roy Hodgson's side will enter their meeting with CSKA Sofia in buoyant mood after overcoming Everton in domestic competition on Sunday. Fulham claimed their first home success of the season as they secured a 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage. Pantsil is delighted to have got precious points on the board in the Premier League, but admits attentions have already turned to a tricky midweek trip to Bulgaria. "I am very happy with that win," he told skysports.com in the aftermath of the Toffees success. "We need to pick up points at home in this difficult league, gaining three points at home has to be a must. "Now we can't wait for our Europa League campaign, because we want to show that we can compete at that level." Having helped Ghana book their ticket to South Africa next summer, Pantsil is also desperate to maintain a high level of performance this term in order to make sure he is given the opportunity to grace football's most prestigious competition. "Ghana have qualified for the World Cup and we are looking forward to representing our country and our continent," he added. "June is a long way off, but hopefully we will reach that month in top form and without any injuries."
