Paintsil dreams of Europe

Ghana international John Paintsil is beginning to believe Fulham will be playing European football next term.

Just 12 months after avoiding relegation from the Premier League on the last day of the season, the Cottagers' 1-0 win at Newcastle United has left Roy Hodgson's side on the verge of sealing seventh spot and a place in the Europa League.

Paintsil said: "It's been a great season so far and qualifying for Europe at the end of it would cap it off brilliantly.

"It would be great for everyone at the club to do that. We all have an opportunity to play in Europe and that's something as a player you dream of doing.

"As a team, we've shown what we can do again because coming to a place like Newcastle United isn't easy, especially in their situation when it was a must-win game for them and they had home advantage on their side."
