Preston have signed Fulham striker Eddie Johnson on loan until the end of the season. The 26-year-old has made just five Premier League starts since joining from Kansas City in 2008 and was loaned to Cardiff last term. Manager Phil Brown said: "Eddie is yet another addition to our band of strikers. He brings more pace and strength and alongside Iain Hume, Nathan Ellington, Leon Clarke poses a significant forward threat. "We also have Paul Hayes and are hoping Chris Brown will soon overcome his injury." Chairman Maurice Lindsay said: "This brings our recent signings to four before the deadline closes and we also decided not to let any of our players go during the window. "We want to make every effort to stay in the Championship and we are confident we now have a strong squad to do just that."
