Fulham's veteran goalkeeper Antti Niemi has pledged his future to the Cottagers by penning a new two-year contract.
The 33-year-old Finland international had been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage this summer, but boss Lawrie Sanchez is delighted to have tied down a key member of his squad.
He told the club's official website: "It's great news that Antti has committed a further year of his future with Fulham.
"I know that this will also be of great delight to the fans that hold him in such high regard.
"Antti is an integral part of this Fulham team and his loss last season because of the neck injury was, I understand, a testing time for the team.
"I'm glad that he's in good health and is committed to us for the next two seasons."
Niemi joined the Cottagers in January 2006 from Southampton, having previously played in Scotland for both Hearts and Rangers.
