Fulham have rewarded USA international Clint Dempsey with a four-year contract extension.
Dempsey, 26, is now under contract at Craven Cottage until summer 2013.
The international midfielder scored seven goals in 35 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers last season.
He was also a key player for the US during their run to the Confederations Cup Final in South Africa earlier in the summer.
Meanwhile, Fulham are reported to be close to signing veteran striker Mark Viduka.
Viduka, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Newcastle United following the end of his contract, is believed to have undergone a medical with the Cottagers on Thursday.
He could now join Roy Hodgson's side on a one-year contract.
