Midfielder Danny Murphy has agreed a new one-year contract to remain at Fulham.
The 31-year-old former England international was out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer but has now put pen to paper on a deal until June 2009 with an option for a further year.
Murphy, who joined the Cottagers on a permanent basis from Spurs in August 2007, scored six times in 35 appearances last season.
However, he wrote his name into Fulham folklore after scoring the goal which ultimately kept them in the Premier League on the final day of the season.
Murphy's decisive strike in the 1-0 win at Portsmouth in May ensured their retained their top-flight status on goal difference ahead of Reading.
The Chester-born player came through the ranks at Crewe before securing a move to the big time with Liverpool in 1997.
He made 170 appearances for the Reds before further moves to first Charlton Athletic and then Spurs.
