Colombia international Fredy Montero has claimed he has been in contact with Premier League side Fulham. Reports have suggested Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson could bid for the striker, who is currently on loan at MLS side Seattle Sounders from Deportivo Cali. Seattle Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid recently admitted he would not stand in Montero's way should he receive an offer from a top European club. Montero, 21, has now claimed that he held talks with Fulham six months ago and the West London outfit have reignited their interest in his services. "I have been in touch with officials of Fulham since six months ago and now that they have got in touch with me again I find the idea of playing at their team in the next season interesting," he said. "I haven't spoken about this situation with the officials of Seattle yet but I suppose that once they receive a proposal there will not be any problem. Because I am interested in this chance they will not bring me any problem. "Fulham had been in touch with me more than six months ago and now they have done it again and I am interested in having the chance of playing in their league."
