Montella to dash Cottagers

Fulham's hopes of securing the services of Vincenzo Montella appear to have been dashed after the Roma striker revealed that neither he or the Rome club have discussed his future.
Montella, a former Italy international, has been restricted to a handful of cameo appearances this season under current coach Luciano Spalletti.
The 32-year-old hitman arrived at the Stadio Olimpico in a £15million transfer from Sampdoria in 2001 and helped Roma win the Scudetto during his first season in the Eternal City.
The Cottagers have been heavily linked with a January move for the out-of-favour striker but Montella - who has been plagued by back and neck injuries during the last two seasons - appears to be happy to wait for his chance.
"Nothing has been decided about my future," he claimed. "Neither myself or Roma have come up with a plan.
"I want to underline that nothing at all has occurred between the coach and I.
"My lack of action is purely down to tactical reasons and I have to accept that."
