McAuley ruled out of Montenegro game
orthern Ireland defenders Aaron Hughes and Gareth McAuley have been ruled out of Wednesday's friendly against Montenegro in Podgorica.[LNB] Hughes is returning to Fulham after his inflamed Achilles was assessed by the medical team tonight.[LNB]McAuley, meanwhile, suffered a back injury helping Ipswich defeat Middlesbrough yesterday at the Riverside Stadium.[LNB]It means three players have dropped out of the squad in total, with Sunderland goalkeeper Trevor Carson being replaced by Alan Blayney of Linfield.[LNB]
