Late goal sinks Fulham

Fulham suffered a last-gasp 1-0 defeat to FC Twente in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Cottagers knew victory would secure safe passage from Group K, but were forced to defend throughout the first period. They improved after the break but conceded late on as substitute Marc Janko stabbed home.

Damien Duff and Mousa Dembele limped off on a bad evening for the west Londoners, which was compounded by Andrew Johnson's sending-off in stoppage time.
