Finland international Shefki Kuqi is enjoying his loan spell with Fulham and is thankful to Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez for giving him the chance to play in the Premier League again.
The 30-year-old made his second substitute appearance for the club at the weekend following his loan switch from Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day and helped Sanchez's side beat Reading 3-1.
The former Blackburn hit-man told Fulham's official website: "First of all it was great to get three points on Saturday and to be on the pitch for half-an-hour gave me a massive boost.
"I came on at Sunderland for 20 minutes but that was a different type of game because we were defending, whereas on Saturday we were attacking against Reading.
"I had my best pre-season this year. But for some reason things didn't work out at Palace. I have to say I had a good time with Blackburn in the Premiership but I didn't get enough time to play there and they bought new strikers.
"You've got to get on with things and move on and I'm glad this opportunity came along and every minute I play here I'll enjoy. I'm looking forward to the future and doing the best I can here.
"From day one when I walked through the door at Fulham I felt a massive weight off my shoulders. I feel very relaxed and I'm enjoying going into work everyday and I'll be doing the best I can for the club and for myself."
