Fulham centre-half Zat Knight has signed a new two-year contract extension at Craven Cottage.
The 27-year-old, who has made nearly 150 appearances for the Cottagers, is now under contract with the Premier League outfit until the summer of 2010.
Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez told the club's official website: "Since I arrived at the club I've been impressed with Zat's commitment and attitude both on and off the pitch.
"He has a good understanding of the game which is reflected in his positional play.
"It's no secret that we conceded too many goals last season and that's something I'm determined to change.
"With the right back four that will happen and I'm sure that Zat will have a big part to play in our plans, so I'm delighted that he has committed his future to Fulham."
Knight has been with the Cottagers for the whole of his professional career, although he spent three months out on loan at Peterborough United back in 2000.
