Fulham skipper Zat Knight could be out for two months after breaking his jaw in two places in a domestic accident.
The 26-year-old centre-back was injured in a play-fight with his brother and missed the weekend goalless draw with West ham as a result.
Cottagers boss Chris Coleman commented after that game: "Zat Knight came in on Thursday complaining of pain in his jaw.
"He said he had been fooling around with his brother. We had him x-rayed and it showed two breaks in his jaw.
"It's unfortunate for him. He could be out for two months, possibly more. It's come at a bad time.
"Zat has been playing well and has shown a lot of consistency.
"I can only go on what Zat said. He is a big boy, but I don't suppose his brother is much smaller and it is a freak accident.
"He said that is what happened and we believe him."
Knight himself added: "It was an accident, nothing more sinister than that.
"I'm absolutely gutted. Obviously, I feel I have let down the team at a vital point of the season."
