Fulham's pre-season plans have been rocked by reports that Diomansy Kamara will be out of action for six months with a knee ligament injury.
The Senegal striker reportedly ruptured knee ligaments during his country's 3-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Liberia on June 21.
Kamara is set to go under the knife this week and is expected to be sidelined until January.
The news comes as a blow to Fulham as they are already short of attacking numbers following Brian McBride's decision to leave at the end of the last campaign.
Kamara, who joined the Cottagers in a £6million deal from West Bromwich Albion last summer, was expected to play a greater role in the forthcoming season.
The 27-year-old scored just six goals in 30 appearances during a disappointing first season at Craven Cottage.
He was due to return to Fulham for pre-season training on July 12.
