Ipswich close in on duo

Ipswich are understood to be close to completing the signings of Arsenal youngster Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale.[LNB] Paul Jewell is reported to have agreed a fee of around £1million with the Gunners for 20-year-old winger Emmanuel-Thomas, while Stockdale, 25, is set to join on loan from Craven Cottage.[LNB]And Jewell has confirmed he expects to have two new faces on board in time for Tuesday's pre-season friendly against Colchester.[LNB]"As far as I am aware, fees have been agreed and we are moving on," Jewell told Town's official website.[LNB]"I don't want to say anything that might upset the clubs we are dealing with, but I'd be disappointed if we didn't have two new players available for the Colchester game."
