Hull boss Brown refusing to give up on signing Zamora from Fulham

Hull City are still hopeful of signing Fulham striker Bobby Zamora for a club record-equalling £5million.   Fulham manager Roy Hodgson had indicated Zamora would be staying at Craven Cottage but Tigers boss Phil Brown, in China for the Asia Cup, confirmed talks about the player's wages are ongoing.   Brown said: 'As far as we're concerned, the case is certainly not closed. Zamora's agent was at our game on Saturday and we discussed further the level of contract Bobby would expect. 'It's not dead at all, I haven't been told by anyone that the answer is no. For me, it's still very much alive.' Brown hopes to eventually succeed with Zamora after failing to sign Michael Owen, Fraizer Campbell, Marc Antoine Fortune and Daryl Murphy over the summer.
