Hughes wants to benefit from weary Cottagers
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes hopes his side can take advantage of Fulham`s hectic schedule and preserve their place in the top five by the end of the weekend. City, who have a 100% home record and are unbeaten in three games in the Premier League, welcome the Cottagers to Eastlands on Sunday. Hughes is hoping a week for Fulham which saw them beat Hull on Monday and draw against Roma in the Europa League on Thursday night plays into City's hands. But Hughes knows his side have to avoid a further shock against Fulham, who have won three of their last four league games at City. "Our record against Fulham isn't great in recent years," reflected Hughes. "But they played Monday, Thursday and now they're heading up the motorway to play us so it's a big ask for them. "It's difficult when you're in Europe, as we found out at times to our cost, so we hope to benefit from that on this occasion."
