Hughes Shock Aston Villa Link

After less than two weeks in charge of Fulham, could Mark Hughes be moving to Aston Villa? On Monday night, Villa supposedly considered making a formal approach for Hughes after Martin O'Neill quit as the Aston Villa manager. Surprisingly, Hughes is believed to be a strong candidate even though he signed a two-year deal at Craven Cottage only a couple of weeks ago on 29th July. The only chance of Hughes leaving Fulham would be if the club accepted his contract being bought out by Aston Villa. However, it is unlikely that after such a small amount of time at Craven Cottage that Fulham would sanction the move or that Hughes would want to move. With only four days before the start of the Premier League season, it looks likely that Aston Villa will have to search for someone apart from Hughes to replace O'Neill but nothing's certain at this stage.
