Mark Hughes wants his Fulham side to be party poopers when they become the first team to visit Blackpool in the Premier League.[LNB] Saturday sees the Seasiders host their first top-flight match for 39 years and it will also mark the opening of Bloomfield Road's new East Stand.[LNB]The historic occasion is bound to induce a carnival atmosphere before kick-off but Cottagers boss Hughes is determined to spoil his hosts' big day.[LNB]"There's huge interest in the town and obviously you see the enthusiasm it generates," said Hughes.[LNB]"Everybody from Blackpool probably earmarked the first home game for a real show of solidarity for the team.[LNB]"I'm sure whatever crowd is in will give them great support.[LNB]"From our point of view, we've got to make sure that we're able to quieten the crowd down and then play our stuff and maybe disappoint them at the end of the day."[LNB]Blackpool enjoyed a dream opening day in the Premier League as they thrashed Wigan 4-0 at the DW Stadium.[LNB]But they were given a huge reality check last Saturday when they went down 6-0 at Arsenal, a result which was followed by a shock Carling Cup second-round exit at MK Dons.[LNB]Hughes said: "If you have a setback then obviously you want to get back to a positive frame of mind.[LNB]"Maybe they view the first home game as one that will give them an opportunity to do that.[LNB]"Obviously, they'll be well aware of the threat that we pose and it'll be a difficult game for both sides.[LNB]"I saw them against Arsenal and, in fairness, in the initial period, I thought they did reasonably well there, were very positive in their outlook to the game.[LNB]"Obviously, once they went behind and lost their centre-half to a sending-off, it was always going to be very difficult for them.[LNB]"I don't think that will really change their mentality or their mindset.[LNB]"I'm sure they're still very positive about what's ahead of them, so it'll be a difficult game for us."[LNB]Hughes is still waiting to complete the signing of Mexico left-back Carlos Salcido.[LNB]On Thursday, the Fulham boss hoping to wrap up a reported £1.6million deal for the 30-year-old PSV Eindhoven player, who was also linked with a move to Liverpool.[LNB]However, his signing could see the Reds step up their interest in Paul Konchesky.
