Hughes given stick over Bayern rumours

Fulham boss Mark Hughes has revealed his players teased him about reports he was Bayern Munich's number one target to succeed Louis van Gaal. The Dutch coach is leaving the struggling Bundesliga giants at the end of the season after a poor campaign by their standards, and former Bayern striker Hughes has been among the names linked with the job. And the Cottagers chief admitted the reports had been the subject of some dressing room banter. "I got a bit of stick from the players," he said ahead of his side's Barclays Premier League trip to Everton. "It gets mentioned because everyone reads papers and picks up on things that they see in them. "There's some speculation. It's good when it's positive. I accept this is a positive news article but I wouldn't think there's too much relevance to it from my point of view."
