Hodgson won't rush signings

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson insists he will take a long-term view to the transfer window and will not make any rash signings despite the club's precarious position.
Hodgson has taken change of an ailing Cottagers side, that are currently second bottom of the Premier League table.
But rather than look for quick-fix solutions to the club's current problems, the former Internazionale and Blackburn Rovers boss will only sign new players if they fit into his future plans.
"It's a dangerous time the January transfer window because there's only one window in the season," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"We've got to be wise in the transfer window. I wouldn't like to be bringing players in on a short-term basis.
"They've got to make us better, not just in the last months of the season to keep us in the league, but also next season when we're trying to build an even stronger team.
"That's a tough task. The type of players that are being flagged up are not the type of players that have definite pedigree that you could be 100 per cent certain that they are top quality Premiership players who will make us better today and we can build on tomorrow.
"I'm not ruling out signing players - absolutely not. I, the team and the staff we want to do well and, if there are players out there who will make us a lot better, then please bring them on.
"What we don't want to do is to be panicked into buying players that won't help us do any better and just make our list of players longer."
