Hodgson to take his time

Fulham's new manager Roy Hodgson says he has funds to spend in the January transfer window, but he insists he is in no immediate rush to do so.
The former Internazionale, Blackburn Rovers, Finland and Switzerland boss has been handed the task of guiding the Cottagers away from relegation, having succeeded Lawrie Sanchez.
However, Hodgson is keen to give his current roster a chance to show that they are up to the task in hand.
He commented: "My major concern is to analyse fully and work hard with this group of players, while being fully aware that the transfer window is open for players who could make us better.
"The thing I would like to avoid is desperately going out and making wholesale changes and then finding that the players we have brought into the club are not better than the ones who were here.
"It is important first of all that we work on the group of players that we have got here, to encourage these players to believe in themselves and to get out of the situation we find ourselves in.
"But the transfer window is an important time of the year and if the right type of players come along to help us, not just in the short term but the long term, I know I have the support of the board to move into that market."
