Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has continued his rebuilding job at Craven Cottage by completing the signing of USA international Eddie Johnson.
The 23-year-old has penned a three-and-a-half year deal with the Cottagers after being granted a work permit at a tribunal in London.
Hodgson told Fulham's official website: "I've made no secret of the fact that I believe the squad lacks a certain balance in specific areas of the team and, following the loss of Brian McBride to injury, this is true of our strikeforce.
"At 6ft 1ins tall, Eddie has the presence that will complement the other forwards within our squad and he has the ability to offer us another dimension to our attacking play.
"I'm delighted that he's joined us and am grateful to the representatives from the Home Office for granting him the work permit which will enable him to play for us as soon as possible."
Johnson, who has scored 11 goals in 31 appearances for his country, has played for FC Dallas and Kansas City Wizards in his homeland.
