Hodgson faces nervous times

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that his club will find it hard to try and ward off major bids for the likes of Brede Hangeland and Jimmy Bullard.

Centre-back Hangeland and midfielder Bullard are both rumoured targets for several major Premier League clubs and Hodgson is waiting nervously for further developments.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: "We can't say if Bullard or Hangeland are not going anywhere.

"If you say are we trying to sell them, the answer is no we're not.

"But at the same time we are Fulham Football Club. There are bigger clubs who unfortunately have a lot more money and pay enormous wages which we do not have.

"So I can't say that anyone is not going anywhere.

"I just hope we will keep all our players and the big clubs will look elsewhere and leave Fulham alone."
