Hodgson aims to keep stars
14 Jan 2009 - 11:24:46
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson claims it would take 'something special' to persuade him to part company with either Jimmy Bullard or Brede Hangeland.
Both midfielder Bullard and defender Hangeland have been linked with moves away from Craven Cottage after impressing during the first half of the Premier League season.
England international Bullard in particular has been the subject of plenty of speculation as he has just 18 months remaining on his contract and has so far failed to agree terms on a new deal.
But although concerned at the possibility of losing key players during the transfer window, Hodgson has warned any potential suitors that nobody will be leaving his club on the cheap.
"You always worry that bigger clubs are out there. We have to deal with it," he said.
"It would take something special for these players to move and I hope that something special doesn't happen."
