Hodgson targets reinforcements as Fulham look to creep in the back door to Europe

Fulham[LNB]are on course to follow Manchester City and win a European place via the Fair Play League.[LNB]City take a 2-0 advantage into the second leg against Allborg on Thursday with a spot in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals at stake.[LNB]And Fulham are set to follow City into next season's revamped Europa Cup as they lead the Barclays Premier League Fair Table, up to and including March 7.[LNB] Flying high: Fulham celebrate their win at Bolton on Saturday but their route to Europe may be through the Fair Play League[LNB]Fulham are first followed by Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham. The highest placed team who do not qualify for Europe go into UEFA's Fair Play draw in May.[LNB]Points are awarded for yellow and red cards, positive play, respect towards opponents and the referee and the behaviour of club officials.[LNB]Fulham manager Roy Hodgson said: 'I am proud of this because I believe it is important to play the game correctly. I don't want players getting yellow cards willy-nilly and this gives us something to aim for.'[LNB]But Hodgson warned Fulham will need to increase their squad if they win a Europa Cup place. He added: 'We would need to look at our squad if we were in Europe.
