Hodgson sorry for Magpies

Fulham chief Roy Hodgson admitted he felt sorry for Newcastle after his side's 1-0 win at St James' Park.[LNB] Newcastle dropped into the bottom three after Diomansy Kamara's first half goal proved to be enough to give Fulham all three points.[LNB]The win boosts Fulham's hopes of finishing in seventh spot and securing a place in Europe next season, but Hodgson admitted they rode their luck at times to secure the victory on Tyneside.[LNB]Hodgson was full of praise for his goalkeeper and defence as they kept Newcastle at bay to pick up another win in a memorable season for the West London outfit.[LNB]"We came here to some extent as sacrificial lambs today," said Hodgson.[LNB]"It was a great win here today. I feel sorry for Newcastle - they deserved better, we rode our luck on several occasions.[LNB]"We are thankful for a very good performance from our back four and goalkeeper."[LNB]
