Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed holding talks with Mark Viduka, but has suggested the striker is not looking to secure a deal in the Premier League. Skysports.com revealed that the experienced Australian had met with Hodgson on Thursday to discuss a possible move to Craven Cottage on a free transfer. Viduka is without a club after leaving Newcastle United earlier in the summer and Portsmouth had expressed an interest in signing the 33-year-old. Top-flight rivals Fulham were also keen, but Hodgson revealed that Viduka has other plans in mind for his future away from English football. "I spoke to Mark," said Hodgson on Sky Sports News. "He was in London and I had the chance to meet him. "I spent a bit of time with him to ascertain, more than anything else, what his intentions were and to hear if he had any intentions of maybe playing on, and whether it would be the intention for him to continue in the Premier League. "At the end of our discussions it was fairly clear that he's actually made his decision to leave that behind him and start a new life. "So we wish him well with that, but it was nice to meet him and catch up with him, and have a talk with him."
