Hodgson admits Dacourt luck
Roy Hodgson believes Fulham struck 'lucky' in bringing Olivier Dacourt to the club on loan for the rest of the season.[LNB] Dacourt completed a move to Craven Cottage before the transfer deadline after making just one appearance for Inter Milan since Jose Mourinho took over as coach.[LNB]The former Leeds and Everton midfielder could be in line to make his debut for the Cottagers at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.[LNB]Hodgson was delighted to be able to land the 34-year-old and feels there was an element of good fortune in securing Dacourt from Inter.[LNB]Successful spell"Since his time here, he's had a very successful spell in Italy, first with Roma where he won the championship and recently with Inter, where he's won three successive championships," said Hodgson on Sky Sports News.[LNB]"He's been injured for the last part and that's obviously why, to some extent, we were lucky to get him because, due to injury, they've taken in other players and he's not been able to break back into the team."[LNB]Dacourt is looking forward to the chance to play regular first-team football and he hopes his experience can help Fulham in the coming months.[LNB]The Frenchman said: "I came to play.[LNB]"The manager thinks I can bring some experience to the team and I will try to bring it."[LNB]
