Healy enjoys flying start
17 Aug 2007 - 11:10:42
Striker David Healy is delighted to have made a flying start to his career with Fulham, having scored in both of his first two games for the Cottagers.
The 28-year-old Northern Ireland international has found the net against both Bolton Wanderers and Arsenal following his move from Leeds United.
Healy said: "It's been a good start for me personally, so to mark my home debut with a goal was very pleasing.
"But I'm not going to start setting targets of scoring goals in every game because I know it's not possible as a striker.
"When you play, you are expected to create chances, not just for yourself but for others.
"If I can do that and nick the odd goal here and there, that's the main thing."
Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez added: "Perhaps people had an idea that David was a prima donna.
"But anyone who saw him in the two games can see his work-rate for the team is top notch as well and always has been."
