Hangeland targeting result
Fulham defender Brede Hangeland is targeting a positive result against big-spending Manchester City on Sunday.
Roy Hodgson's side have won at the City of Manchester Stadium for the past two seasons.
But the Cottagers face a City side who have won three out of three at home so far this term after boss Mark Hughes splashed the cash in the summer to recruit big name players like Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor.
But Hangeland is not fazed about taking on such a star-studded team and believes the Cottagers can get a positive result.
He said: "When we are playing our best we can go anywhere and get something and that's a good feeling to have even when we go to difficult places like Man City.
Sleepless nights"No-one is going to give me sleepless nights but obviously they have four or five world-class strikers so there won't be a single one that we'll have to look after.
"It should be a really good match. They have signed a lot of big-name players so they have done well like they expected so it will obviously be a tough game.
"We have won two years in a row up there so if we can do it again that would be fantastic but they have a fantastic side and we will try and get something from there."
Fulham go into the clash on the back of a 1-1 Europa League draw with Roma after conceding an injury time equaliser and Hangeland believes the Cottagers can take a lot of positives from that game.
"If it wasn't for that last goal we would have been really pleased with our performance but that's something we have to take on board for the next few games," Hangeland said.
"We'll try and get ready for Sunday knowing that we did well and came close to beating a top-class team, so we will take confidence from that."
Gera hopeful
Despite fielding a weakened team, the Cottagers took City to extra-time in the Carling Cup last month and Zoltan Gera, who opened the scoring that night with a 30-yard screamer, is hoping to do the same again.
"I'd love to repeat the goal, of course," said Gera, who may start ahead of Damien Duff.
"It is a big game, Man City are a very good team so we need to play well there to get a good result
"They have good players going forward but I'm confident that we can get something from that game."
