Hangeland harbours top-half hopes

Brede Hangeland has challenged his Fulham team-mates to finish in the top half of the Barclays Premier League after helping them ease clear of the drop zone. The Cottagers crashed into the bottom three back in December but have lost just one of their last nine league games to haul themselves up to 11th, one point behind ninth-placed Newcastle. They are still only five points clear of danger but relegation is the last thing on defender Hangeland's mind. The Norwegian said: "We're certainly looking up the table more than down and I think, if we perform well from now until the end of the season, we could finish in the top half. "That's certainly the aim."
