Good news for Bridge

Good news for Bridge

Fulham have confirmed the ankle injury suffered by Wayne Bridge during England's 2-1 win against Uruguay is not serious.

The 25-year-old left-back was stretchered off following a collision with England goalkeeper Paul Robinson after 30 minutes at Anfield, amid worried looks from his team-mates.

However, tests have shown the injury is merely a sprain and although he will miss this weekend's game against Arsenal, Bridge should not be sidelined for too long.

The news will be a major relief to the on-loan Chelsea star, who has only recently returned to peak form and fitness after a lengthy absence from the game with a broken ankle.
