Fulham eye Bullard return

Fulham remain hopeful that injured midfielder Jimmy Bullard could play again this season.

Bullard, 27, suffered cruciate knee ligament damage in September just four games into his Fulham career after moving to Craven Cottage for £2.5million from Wigan Athletic in the summer.

Early indications suggested Bullard would be out of action for up to 12 months, but Cottagers boss Chris Coleman believes the former non-league midfielder could be back in action before the end of the campaign.

"We've not ruled out him playing again this season," Coleman told the Sunday Mirror.

"The latest he will be back is pre-season but he's on schedule and it will be great if he plays before then."
