Fulham 1 Swindon 0: Zamora gives Capello another nod with winner

Nod to England: Fulham's Bobby Zamora challenges Alan Sheehan (right) The man is magic! Swindon boss Danny Wilson conceded it was a magical moment, one touch of class from Bobby Zamora that ended his team's FA Cup challenge. 'There was so little between us on the day, but you have a player like Zamora and he produces something like that,' he said. 'Yes, it was a magic moment. We are disappointed but not despondent. We continue with our season.' It was Zamora's 11th goal of a season he is determined will end in South Africa with England and continuing proof he is equipped to conjure up something special when needed. His winning strike is the first of what Fulham hope will be many more on the road to a Wembley appearance in May. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson said: 'We are up for it in the FA Cup and some of the football we produced is as good as it gets. Spot of bother: Andrew Johnson misses a penalty 'The understanding between our front men [Andy Johnson and Zamora]was outstanding. We should have scored a second but we have to creditSwindon's performance for not managing that.' What started off as a stroll for Fulham developed into acliffhanger. But if this was eventually turned into a scuffling victoryfor them, it was the elan of Zamora which saw them through and furtherraises his status. Flashpoint: Andrew Johnson (centre) is brought down by Swindon Town goalkeeper David Lucas Zamora gave Fulham the lead in the 16th minute when he ran on to athrough pass from Stephen Kelly, forced his way past Gordon Greer andlobbed David Lucas. Fulham took their eye off the ball, though, andSwindon had chances through Billy Paynter, Ben Hutchinson and JonathanTaylor. Johnson, back after three months out through injury, blighted hisafternoon when his weak penalty was saved by Lucas in the 61st minute.  FULHAM FC: All the latest news from across the webJANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW 2010: All the moves and gossip for every Premier League clubPortsmouth 1 Coventry City 1: Pompey show plenty of spirit as Sky Blues earn replayNottingham Forest 0 Birmingham City 0: Earnshaw pays the penaltyTottenham 4 Peterborough 0: Kranjcar double for Spurs punishes PoshEverton 3 Carlisle 1: Cumbrians go down fighting at Goodison ParkStoke City 3 York City 1: Potters end Minstermen's Cup dream
