Fulham v FK Vetra preview

06 August 2009 11:29
Fulham will be without Simon Davies once more as they look to finish the job against FK Vetra in the Europa League on Thursday. The Cottagers strolled to a 3-0 win in last week's first leg in Vilnius, and will want to see off their Lithuanian opponents in the third qualifying round tie. With the exception of Davies and defender Toni Kallio, Fulham have a full-strength squad to choose from for the game at Craven Cottage. Boss Roy Hodgson will want a repeat performance of the impressive away win, which saw goals from Bobby Zamora, Danny Murphy and Seol Ki-Hyeon. Anything less than a disastrous result will secure the Cottagers' place in the first round draw on Friday, and Hodgson is confident his side can complete the job. "We're hoping that we'll not only play in a historic match but we also get a good result and put ourselves in the draw for the next round," the Fulham boss told the club's official website. "We're really pleased that we made the job easier with such a good away win. It was good to come back with such a good lead that puts us in the driving seat." Fulham possible starting XI Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky, Baird, Gera, Murphy, Dempsey, Zamora, A Johnson.
